Are you passionate about design, websites, technology and building things? Are you willing to learn and think creatively? You don’t need to be a maths whizz or know much about computers for this course! If you want to initiate a successful career as a web developer and/or designer, this is where it all begins. 


This comprehensive diploma programme incorporates design, print media, motion graphics, web design and programming. We place emphasis on practical skills, as well as the importance of conceptualisation, best practice in design, and effective use of industry-relevant computer applications.

Admission Requirements:


  • Admission requirements to Higher Education

The minimum requirement for admission to a higher education institution from 1 January 2010 is the National Senior Certificate or the National Certificate (Vocational) as determined by the Minister of Higher Education and Training in the Minimum Admission Requirements for Higher Certificate, Diploma and Bachelor's Degree Programmes requiring a National Senior Certificate (Government Gazette No. 32131 of May 2008 and the Minimum Admission Requirements for Higher Certificate, Diploma and Bachelor's

Degree Programmes requiring a National Certificate (Vocational) (Government Gazette No. 32743, of November 2009). These minima must be met by all applicants to entry-level higher education qualifications. Applicants with different qualifications may only be admitted if they are judged equivalent by the designated equivalence-setting bodies.


  • A certified copy of a Grade 12 transcript or equivalent
  • Mathematics pass of 50%
  • Art, Design and English are advantageous
  • To prove basic computer literacy, submit an A4 Word document in a 'formal letter' format addressed to the Principal of Concept Interactive. In 500 words, describe why you are applying to study the Diploma in Interactive Graphics. Left-justify the document. Insert a current photograph of yourself.
  • Submit 2 of your own drawings completed on A4 paper in pencil or pen of any 2 of the following:
    • self-portrait
    • still life
    • landscape
    • animal or insect study
    • logo design
  • Students who are eligible may apply for RPL or CAT. (See below for more details.)

    • 3 Years Full Time, 5 Sessions/Week, 3:00 hours each, class times are between 08:30 – 12:00 or 12:30 – 16:00.  
    • All hours are achieved via your study duration at the institute and project-based assignments. 

    *The minimum period that this qualification can be studied is 3 years. Sessions will be grouped together to lower cost of traveling, however, in some cases classes may not follow this convention and schedules are subject to change.
